Ms. Maranyane Makhondo

Chief Financial Officer (A)

Ms. Makhondo served in her substantive role as Head of Group Accounting, where she led the Financial Accounting and Tax functions and oversaw the Corporation’s core financial reporting, compliance, and control environment. In that capacity, she played a central role in maintaining reporting integrity, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and governance standards. Maranyane has capably served in the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer previously, demonstrating exceptional leadership during critical periods when the Corporation required her expertise and direction.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Investments from the London School of Business and Finance (‘LSBF’) and is a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She also holds the Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA) designation, reflecting advanced professional standing, ethical leadership, and demonstrated expertise in financial stewardship and corporate governance.

In her role as Acting Chief Financial Officer, she assumes overall responsibility for the Corporation’s financial stewardship, including financial strategy implementation, risk management, reporting oversight, and ensuring continued financial sustainability in support of BDC’s investment mandate.
