United Refineries Botswana

United Refineries Botswana (Pty) Ltd (URB) is a 100 percent citizen owned company.  The company was incorporated in January 2010 with the objective of providing affordable high quality edible vegetable oils using current technologies and systems that optimize efficiency. The mandate of the company is to procure, refine and distribute vegetable oil in Botswana, with particular interest in the Botswana market and also the export market in countries in the SADC region. The company manufactures Crude cooking oil through a refinery.

Sechaba Breweries Holdings

Sechaba Breweries Holdings Limited is an investment company listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange. Sechaba holds a 60% shareholding in its sole investment, Kgalagadi Breweries (Pty) Ltd (KBL), whilst SAB MiIler Botswana BV holds 40%. SABMiller Africa BV holds a further direct stake of 16.84%in Sechaba. As one of the world’s largest brewers, SABMiller has management control over KBL, offering insight and experience with regard to management, technical, brand building and distribution expertise. It manufactures Alcoholic, Non-Alcoholic and Opaque Beverages.

Lobatse Clayworks

Lobatse Clay Works (Pty) Ltd was established as a private company in 1992 and is wholly owned by BDC. It was set up to manufacture clay products for the Botswana and regional market. The company manufactures and supplies a variety of quality clay products, including face bricks, pavers and special shaped bricks to designers and craftspeople in Botswana and the region.

Can Manufacturers Botswana

Can Manufactures (Pty) Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of BDC. The core business of the company is to manufacture high quality food cans that meet international standards. The food cans produced package various products such as dairy, fish, fruits, meat and vegetables. Can Manufactures is the first and only operation of its nature in Botswana. The company operates from a manufacturing factory in the town of Lobatse. The company currently caters for both the local and export markets.
