BDC donates P20 000.00 to Nata Senior Secondary School for the school library

Date: 28 September 2011

As part of BDC’s continuing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Nata Senior Secondary School received a cheque to the value  of P20 000.00 on the Wednesday28th September 2011.

This CSR initiative was a response to the school’s request for assistance from BDC in providing a donation for acquiring books to furnish the school’s library.

The school has been facing problems of lack of books in the library due to budgetary constraints.

Speaking at the event Ms. Winnie Sebedi thanked BDC for their contribution and said that this would go a long way in helping the school provide a conducive learning environment for the pupils.

The Corporation had decided to assist the school as it was one of the academic institutions that suffered major setbacks during the worker’s strike and examination invigilation debacle.

BDC felt that by providing assistance, it would help facilitate one of the vision 2016 pillars of “an educated and informed nation.”
