Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) Limited continues to pursue vigorously its efforts to stimulate economic growth by investing in commercially viable businesses in the country. The corporation welcomes all investors and goes into  partnerships  with local and foreign companies that  do business in Botswana.

The Corporation’s Investment portfolio has also grown tremendously, owing to its dedicated team of experts in the areas of industry, agribusiness, and property development and management.

This year (2008), the Corporation established a new Marketing and Research Division to do research and intensify BDC’s marketing initiatives across the globe. The Division will investigate new ideas, new processes and new ways of working that can make business more dynamic, more efficient and ultimately more profitable. Investment opportunities arising from beneficiation in mining and other natural resources will be explored to develop projects with investment potential.

The Corporation has been doing business successfully for 38 years and its financial products have increased from the traditional ones of loan financing, equity participation and provision of commercial, industrial and residential premises,  and now include its latest  product, “Invoice Discounting, “ which was introduced to the  local  market two years ago. The product provides flexible working capital to businesses across the spectrum. It is actually the long awaited answer to slow paying customers, and shortage of working capital.

In line with its Mission, “The Premier Innovative Investment Partner delivering flexible financial solutions,” the Corporation   continues to do well in providing services and loans at competitive market rates.
