In the past year, the Corporation obtained a certification of approval under the ISO 9001:2000 quality standard. This reinforces our vision to be recognized as a world-class institution. Our role in diversifying the economy of Botswana has been achieved through partnerships, with both local and foreign investors.

The need for direct foreign investment has never been greater. Over the years, experience has taught us that it is the foreign investor who brings technical expertise to the country, and enriches us, not only through wealth created, but also through knowledge imparted. This has had, and will continue to have tremendous influence on increasing our economic base.

The current and past droughts have taught us that it is imperative for the country’s economic base to be more than just natural resources. While striving to diversify the Country’s economy it does, however, remain important to harness our rich natural resources.

Research carried out in the areas of leather tannery, which is one of the least utilized resources that the country possesses, food can manufacturing and lead recycling are expected to add much value to the Corporate's portfolio.
