Lion Park Amusement Centre intends to turn the Centre into an Edutainment Park of Repute

Briefing local tourists during a tour of the centre, Mr. Johan Weideman mentioned that they intend to make the park a number one attraction place in Botswana for both locals and tourists, “We want people to come to lion Park and have a great and unique experience” said Weideman. He thanked BDC for taking a wise step in investing in Lion Park and confirmed that it is a long term investment that will bear productive fruits as time goes on.

“The combination of education and entertainment through rides, water attractions, interactive science experiments, farm animals and predatory animals will result in an extremely attractive edutainment package availed by LP” he continued.

He said despite being some kilometers from the capital city, the amusement park intended to have a regular pick-up for interested participants from Gaborone. Mr. Weideman revealed that a further P22 Million will be injected in the project to upgrade the facility. Additional items are but not limited to a 592 roller coaster, science centre and conference hall. “The Rollercoaster will be the second longest track in Africa” Weideman said.

“In future the centre will move the lion enclosure and convert it to a drive-in lion enclosure and introduce more predators like hyenas, cheetahs’ and wild dogs to the two lions we already have,” he concluded.
