BDC Sponsors National Museum Initiative To The Tune Of P20 000

Botswana Development Corporation has handed over a P20 000 cheque to Botswana National Museum. The Botswana National Museum in a group effort with its stakeholders came to BDC seeking assistance with an initiative to create a documentary celebrating the legacy of Ratsie Setlhako, the most influential folk musician of the last century.

Speaking at the cheque handing over event, BDC Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Chairman Mr. Simon Meti mentioned that it is a great pleasure to assist the National Museum with this initiative as it is a good way to acknowledge our culture and moreover the legacy that Ratsie Setlhako has left behind. He further stated that he encourages the Museum to continue with such initiatives to share with the community, especially the new generation the culture and history of our country.

Ms. Dithunya S. Lekoa, a representative from the Museum thanked BDC for the gesture and reiterated that they would try and continue to acknowledge, promote and preserve Heritage of Botswana in all its forms.
