BDC Shoshong Brigade Presentation

Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) continuing with its effort on empowering Batswana, hosted a presentation for students of the Shoshong Brigade as a means of educating and enlightening them on BDC’s role and mandate. The presentation was highly informative and interactive as students were acquainted with BDC’s organizational structure and the recruitment process it follows, an in depth analysis of BDC products and services, types of businesses that are funded by BDC as well as the eligibility criteria required for funding.

Welcoming the students, the Human Resources Manager Mr. Simon Meti said the Corporation was honoured by the visit and advised them to share information on BDC with their friends and family members. The presentations were then conducted by Senior Human Resources Officer Mr. Letlhogonolo Kelesitse who went through the Corporation’s organizational structure and its recruitment process while the Senior Marketing and Research Officer Mr. Tlhobelo Moshodi took the students through the types of projects funded by BDC and the selection criteria used for funding.

The Marketing and Research Manager, Mr. Batlang Mmualefe gave the students some words of encouragement telling them not to doubt their choice of career as productive workers as they offer core skills especially within the developing world. Mr. Mmualefe further encouraged the students to have a vision of working for themselves and becoming independent.
Ms. Sololo, a representative from the Shoshong Brigade also thanked BDC for the informative, value adding presentation. She further advised the students to educate others on what BDC does and implored upon them to take their studies seriously so that they could come and ask for financing for their businesses in future.
