BDC PARTICIPATES AT THE NORTH WEST DISTRICT MARKET DAY

Botswana Development Corporation, participated at the inaugural North West District Market day for local entrepreneurs that was held in Maun on the 26th August 2011, where the Minister of Transport and Communications Mr. Frank Ramsden, who is also the Member of Parliament for the area was officiating. The main objective of the event was to market local entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Ramsden recognized and appreciated the presence of Botswana Development Corporation Limited (BDC) and further emphasized that it is indeed relevant for the corporation to come on to an event of this kind to help the entrepreneurs with advices of elevating their business to the standard where the corporation can finance their projects which may contribute immensely to the diversification of the economy.

Participation at this event was one of the planned road shows that the Corporation will be embarking on in industrialized towns to create awareness and also sensitize the public and business people about the corporation’s offerings. The road show’s aim was to increase the corporation’s visibility in terms of its products and services. Also as a Development financier, BDC saw it fit to participate at this particular event to encourage and advice the local entrepreneurs where possible to work hard towards their ideas on business and encourage them to upgrade to medium enterprises.
