BDC hands over a P20 000 cheque to Nata Senior Secondary

As one of BDC’s continued Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Nata Senior Secondary School received a cheque donation of P20 000.00 on the Wednesday 28th September 2011.This CSR initiative was a response to the school’s request for assistance from BDC in providing a donation for acquiring books to furnish the school’s library. The school has been facing problems of lack of books in the library due to budgetary constraints.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Winnie Sebedi, a representative from the school thanked BDC for their contribution and said that the donation will go a long way in assisting the school to provide a quality learning atmosphere for their students.

The Corporation had decided to assist the school as it was one of the academic institutions that suffered major setbacks during the workers’ strike and last year’s exam invigilation debacle. BDC saw it imperative to offer assistance that would help facilitate one of the vision 2016 goals of “an educated and informed nation.”
