BDC participates at the Vision 2016 launch event in Mmathubudukwane

BDC participated at this year’s Vision 2016 commemoration activities that were held on the 3rd September 2011 in Mmathubudukwane village in the Kgatleng District. The event was officiated by the Honourable Vice President; Lieutenant General Mompati Merafhe under the theme, “Living the Vision yame le wena”.

In his address, the Vice President advised the people of Kgatleng, who came in large numbers, that they should find a stake among the seven pillars of the vision and work towards common aspirations of building a better and well-rounded nation by 2016. He further stated that the theme for this year calls for transformation and commitment as the bedrock of achieving prosperity for all by 2016, hence the need for Batswana to work together in order to reach the vision 2016 goals.

The BDC team informed the public about the Corporation’s mandate, products and services. BDC was allocated the pillar; ‘a prosperous, productive and innovative nation’ to correspond with the leading involvement BDC has in the development and diversification of the economy. The Corporation is living this pillar as can be witnessed through its various innovative projects.

The event was a great success with many key stakeholders having graced the it to share and help educate and create awareness not just about what they had to offer but to also to enforce the new theme of “Living the Vision yame le wena” as a united and proud nation.
