Marketing and Research The Marketing and Research Division seeks to propel the growth of BDC’s portfolio in the quest to make significant impact on economic development and diversification. It undertakes research on various sectors of the economy and analyse industry trends with the view of identifying market niches and finding new business opportunities for growing the Corporation’s portfolio. Once opportunities have been crystallised, the marketing function leads the promotion of BDC products and services with the view of identifying both local and foreign partners to pursue the identified opportunities in partnership with the Corporation. The Division communicates the Corporation’s value proposition to local and foreign investors with the intention of growing the portfolio through expansions of existing enterprises and new businesses. A special emphasis is placed on citizen economic empowerment through partnerships. The Division seeks to solidify BDC’s position as the financer of choice in the local market.
